The society brings together local farmers with the shared goal of improving livelihoods through sustainable farming practices and ensuring a consistent supply of quality bananas and other produce to both local and international markets . .

How does a person become a valid member of TATABA?
As determined by the board of management, the following qualifies to be a member:
1. Is not a member of another cooperative society carrying out same activities in the same area of operation.
2. Ordinarily resides or owns land within the society's area of operation namely Taita Taveta county.
3. A person of good character and sound mind.
4. Has attained the age of 18 yrs except in case of a minor who is heir to a deceased member.
5. Residents of Taita Taveta who aspire to be banana farmers.
Pays registration fees and minimum share capital as per the bylaws -
What grades of Bananas are grown in Taita-Taveta?
Grades grown are A, B and C which are then ripened and more by-products extracted
